The amorous book array by E.L. James was a guilty pleasure for many a real-life book club, and now — astonishingly — it will offer as a springboard for a strong mom rom-com starring Jane Fonda, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen, and Mary Steenburgen. The decisive actresses of their era are starring in a aptly titled Book Club.
Watch a Book Club Trailer
“We started this bar to kindle our minds,” a resistant Bergen argues.
“From what we hear, this book is quite stimulating,” Fonda’s impression winks back.
What follows is a impertinent montage of a 4 women blushingly reading a book, that inspires them to piquancy adult their possess sex lives. Steenburgen tries to deliver a small BDSM into her disciplined life with her husband (Craig T. Nelson). The single Bergen and Keaton try to get behind into a dating game, eventually hooking adult with Richard Dreyfuss and Andy Garcia, respectively. And Fonda strikes things adult again with an aged flame, played by nothing other than Don Johnson, a noble father of Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson. How most do we wish to gamble there will be during slightest one self-deprecating blink during this connection?
The trailer is a fun frisk filled with shenanigans like Steenburgen spiking her husband’s splash with too most Viagra, and Keaton rising from her closet in what she deems a “cute date outfit”: a relaxed plaid cloak that threatens to swallow her whole. Book Club plays like a sexy, saucy Golden Girls, and if we omit a somewhat embarrassing Fifty Shades tie-in, it looks like a flattering fun movie.
Here is a central summary for Book Club:
The lives of 4 60-something women are altered after reading “50 Shades of Grey” in their book club.
Book Club is destined by Bill Holderman. It hits theaters on May 18, 2018.
