NEW YORK — What do we get when we take one of a year’s biggest box bureau hits — “Fifty Shades of Grey” — and spin it over to funnyman Marlon Wayans?
Christian Grey is branch into Christian Black in Wayans’ travesty “Fifty Shades of Black,” that has been picked adult by Open Road Films for recover in January.
Wayans, famous for essay and starring in cinematic send-ups “White Chicks” and his “Scary Movie” films, says he suspicion it would be humorous to do a comedic take on a amorous film, that is formed on a novel of a same name.
“What if Christian Grey was black and he was abounding though we kind of know how he got his money, it’s kind of untrustworthy and he’s a unequivocally bad lover? we meant it’s kind of identical to a movie,” Wayans pronounced with a laugh. “They had all these scenes, and we was like, a humorous chronicle of this and a humorous chronicle of that, and before we knew it we had a unequivocally humorous script.”
He was interviewed while compelling a summer foe TV array he’s hosting, “I Can Do That,” that front Tuesdays on NBC.
Wayans will star and co-write a “Fifty Shades” travesty with longtime co-operator Rick Alvarez. The film will be destined by Michael Tiddes, who destined both of Wayans’ “Haunted House” movies. He is still operative on his womanlike lead though says “Fifty Shades of Black” will substantially underline faces that fans have seen in his other films, such as Affion Crockett and Cedric a Entertainer.
But don’t design any “red room of pain” in a Wayans spoof. He says in his film, a “playroom” will substantially be something like “chartreuse or bluish or some nauseous pointless color.”
